Operator SMS Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to the Operator SMS service operated by Threshold Design, a registered business name of Thomas Robert Luke, ABN 87 335 624 493.
Operator SMS service
Operator is a conversational SMS service that allows users to send questions, commands and requests by text message and receive automated responses, including AI-generated information.
Operator is primarily user initiated. It is not a promotional SMS mailing list, and we do not send unsolicited marketing messages through Operator.
Consent to receive messages
You opt in to Operator by texting START to the Operator phone number.
By texting START, you request and consent to receive automated conversational SMS responses from Operator by Threshold Design relating to your requests and use of the service.
After activation, you may send questions, commands and requests to Operator and receive automated responses.
Consent to receive Operator SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing another product or service.
Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies depending on how often you use Operator, the nature of your requests and the number of messages required to provide a response.
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier and plan.
Stopping messages
You may opt out of Operator SMS messages at any time by replying:
STOP
You may receive a confirmation that your opt-out request has been processed.
After opting out, you will no longer receive Operator SMS messages unless you subsequently opt in again by texting START.

AI-generated information
Operator may use artificial intelligence systems to generate responses.
AI-generated responses can contain errors, omissions or outdated information. Operator should not be relied upon as the sole source of information where accuracy is critical.
Operator is not a substitute for qualified professional medical, legal, financial or other specialist advice and should not be used for emergency communications.
Service availability
We do not guarantee that Operator will always be available or that every SMS message will be successfully transmitted or delivered.
Message delivery may be affected by mobile carriers, telecommunications networks, connectivity, service providers and other systems outside our control.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of Operator where reasonably necessary for operational, technical, security, legal or commercial reasons.
Acceptable use
You must not use Operator to:
engage in unlawful activity;
abuse, threaten or harass others;
interfere with or attempt to compromise Operator or its infrastructure;
send spam or unsolicited communications; or
use the service in a manner that violates applicable telecommunications or messaging rules.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect Operator, its users or its service providers.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information and SMS data is described in the Operator Privacy Policy.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information and SMS consent data are not sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Information may be processed by service providers where reasonably necessary to operate and deliver Operator.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Operator develops or legal, carrier and operational requirements change.
